Music

(2019 post)
Oh my... I am terrible at keeping up with things. I have continued to create music over the years but not really to do any recordings. 9 years later and I'm still looking for musicians to collaborate with. lol.

Oh, and to add an absolute favourite artist... Alysha Brillinger. Aka. Alysha Brilla from Brilla and the Brilltones. Just look her up... she's so amazing. On spotify :)

Most importantly.... I AM LOOKING FOR MUSICIANS to perform with.

What is your favourite band? favourite song? Favourite musician?

I would love to see an OPEN STAGE to the likes of our beloved Alfanoos in Midland. Email me if you are interested as a musician (original music only please), poet or audience member. lalajanewilson@gmail.com

My number one favourite band is Watasun. Located in Vancouver. I first saw them at the Eaglewood Folk festival in Pefferlaw August 2009. I was working in the hospitality house when I stepped outside to look for something. I heard this awesome groovy music coming from the main stage, took a break from my responsibilies and went on over to dance and enjoy. At that time they were known as Adam Bailie and Reid Hendry. They opened up the stage and I joined them by playing the bongos. I then bought their CDs and have been listening to them non stop ever since! They are now on their 5th CD, have various music videos and I still LOVE their music. Inspiring and meaningful, Adam tells it like it is "There's no better time in the world to live in but right now." (love it... just love it. awesome lyrics + catchy melodies + Reid totally rocking all things percussion.)

Reid Hendry (percussion), Moi and Adam Bailie (vocal, lyrics and guitar)

Check out watasun on facebook and myspace or live in Vancouver.

My number two favourite band is Jane's Party. They live in Toronto. I love the music and I love the people!
