Community

Knowing our neighbours is important, and involvement in community groups is a great way to meet people and learn new skills. In a small town like Midland it's worth connecting with as many social networks as possible.

Here are the three main groups I invest my time in.

*2019 update... I am still president of Midland Community Gardens and still so in love with this group but the other groups have disappeared from my life for one reason or another. Not everything good lasts!

Midland Community Gardens started February 28, 2011. They have chosen me as their leader! Our focus is on group gardening and educating others on sustainable gardening practicing and the importance of food security.

GBMA: Georgian Bay Musicians Association

GBMA organizes local events and show cases local talent. It is in need of volunteers and if you are a musician it would be good to register with them. That way we have a common database and it will be easier to find each other.
